What things should I know before my appointment?

Prior to your appointment you should make sure that you know what it is that you are looking for.  Feel free to bring us inspiration pictures.  Arrive with clean, dry, and combed hair.  We also suggest that you do not wear anything valuable to your appointment and attempt to stay away from wearing bulky clothes (especially hoodies).

Which stylist are accepting new guests?

Sarah - Guests who are looking for barbering services

Crystal - Guests who are looking for highlights and brunettes

Rali - Guests who are looking for any color service

Do you sell retail products?

Yes we do!  We sell a variety of different products from various product lines that we use.  We offer free recommendations at all appointments!

​Current Retail product lines include products from the following brands: Kenra, Joico, Paul Mitchell, Reuzel, Catwalk, CHI, and Rusk.

Where are you located and what is parking like?

Mane Street Salon is located on the east side of Sussex at the end of the Sussex Plaza strip mall.  The parking lot is very large with tons of parking spaces available.

What kind of atmosphere can I expect?

Our number one goal at Mane Street Salon is to make sure that all of our guests have a great salon experience.  During your appointment you can sit back and relax with some great conversations, listen to our playlist, and enjoy a complementary refreshment or snack.  If you have any suggestions on how we can make our guest experience better we would love to hear them!

Policies

At Mane Street Salon our policies are in place to help ensure that we are able to provide all of our guest with an exceptional appointment.  With these policies in place we are able to operate our salon in a smooth and cohesive manner.

Late Arrival

Please let us know if you are going to be late.  We understand that the trains in Sussex are the number one reason why our guests run late however, one late appointment can set our whole day back and we need to ensure that we are managing our appointment blocks correctly.  If you are going to be 15 minutes late we will need to discuss rescheduling options or your appointment block may need to be modified to correspond with the correct ending time

Little Ones

As a family salon we love all of the little ones we get to see.  All children should be accompanied by an adult unless the child is at an age where they can sit by themselves and not treat the furniture like a jungle gym.  We want to maintain the safety of your little one, while also maintaining a relaxing environment for the other guests in the salon.

Keep the Germs Away

Over the past couple of years this one should be a no-brainer.  If you are sick or experiencing any cold or flu symptoms please reach out to us to reschedule.  Any contagious illness can spread through the salon like a wildfire resulting our stylist being out of work for being sick.

Pricing/Service

Our pricing is subject to change based on type of service, cost of goods, time, and the amount of product used  We will inform our guest of any increases when they happen.  If you are unhappy with your service we will gladly work with you to find a solution, however anything after one week of the service date will potentially be a new service appointment.  Due to the nature of the service we do not provide refunds on services.  At Mane Street Salon we have the right to refuse service to anyone who we feel may be under the influence or can not display proper human behavior.

Cancellation/ Rescheduling Policies

We fully understand that circumstances are unavoidable and cancellation or rescheduling may be necessary.  If you find yourself needing to cancel or reschedule we request at least 24 hours notice.  All cancellations or reschedules must be done by speaking with your stylist directly at Mane Street Salon.

  • If you need to reschedule your appointment and fail to provide us with 24 hours notice you may be asked to provide a Rebooking Integrity Deposit.  This deposit will be applied to your rescheduled appointment. 

  • Should you fail to make your rescheduled appointment you will not be refunded your Rebooking Integrity Deposit.

  • If you miss your appointment (NO CALL/NO SHOW), you will be required to pay half of the total service that you missed.  When our guests do not show for their appointments our income takes a loss.   Moral of the story NO CALL/NO SHOW is a crummy thing to do to a small business hairstylist.  

  • If you have to change an appointment due to cancellation or rescheduling you may be asked to go with another stylist due to scheduling

Color Appointment PSA's

  • Please understand that some appointments could involve multiple visits to achieve the results that you are looking for.  

  • We would also like to mention that inspiration picture are just that.  They are an inspiration for how you would like to see your hair.  We will be completely honest with you if your "hair goals" are unobtainable, and offer suggestions.

  • Also, inspiration pictures are also more than likely styled, posed with the correct angles, under great lighting, and now some are even AI generated.  No two heads of hair are exactly alike so your hair will not be a mirror image of your inspiration photo.

  • Color appointments need to be scheduled in advanced, most stylist schedule weeks out for color appointments.

  • We are not liable for any damaged property.  Color has a tendency to find it's way on things we prefer it not to.  We try our hardest to not have this happen but please remember when you are preparing for your appointment
